At Okuru, we talk a lot about small choices that add up, like switching from plastic gift cards to digital gifting.
This year we are taking that commitment a step further by supporting Sungai Watch and their cleanup work in Bali, a place that’s genuinely close to our hearts.
Sungai Watch is a river cleanup organisation on a mission to protect and restore the world's rivers by stopping the flow of plastic pollution from going into the ocean. These plastic wastes would come from places like rice fields, beaches, mangroves, illegal landfills, and other hotspots. Sungai Watch then sorts and processes what’s collected so more of it can stay in the circular system.
Our support is going towards their Buleleng (North Bali) program, helping fund real on-the-ground waste recovery and cleanup operations.
